School trip Naturalis

A school trip to Naturalis is full of surprises and feels like a journey of discovery through nature. Pupils learn about the Earth and its inhabitants in an interactive way.

What can pupils experience at Naturalis?

  1. The Dino Hall – Meet T. rex Trix and other giants
    One of Naturalis’ biggest attractions is T. rex Trix, a gigantic and impressive skeleton of a Tyrannosaurus rex. In addition, there are many more dinosaur fossils, such as a Triceratops and a Mosasaurus.
  2. The Life Hall – Discover the diversity of life
    Here, pupils explore the incredible variety of animals and plants on Earth. They see skeletons, stuffed animals, rare plants, and fossils up close, while learning about the evolution of life.
  3. The Earth Hall – The formation of our planet
    How were mountains, volcanoes, and oceans formed? In the Earth Hall, pupils dive into the geology of our planet and can examine real meteorites, minerals, and gemstones.
  4. Live scientists at work
    At Naturalis, real scientists conduct research on the biodiversity of Earth. During the school trip, pupils can observe their work and learn how scientific research is done.
  5. Exciting and interactive workshops
    Naturalis offers special educational programs for schools, such as a dinosaur workshop, a session on ocean life, or an investigation of insects and plants. These lessons are adapted to the pupils’ age group and guided by experts.
