Mid-morning, we travel by coach to The Hague, where we start with a poffertjes lunch.
A poffertjes lunch at Paviljoen Malieveld in The Hague is a delicious and authentic experience. This cozy pavilion, located next to the green Malieveld park, serves traditional Dutch poffertjes that are freshly prepared on site. The smell of freshly baked poffertjes and melted butter welcomes you as soon as you enter. Served with a generous dusting of powdered sugar and small knobs of butter, these light and fluffy treats make for a perfect, relaxing lunch break.
After the enjoyable lunch, we board the coach with a guide for a Royal Tour of The Hague. This tour offers a unique opportunity to discover the city of the Dutch Royal Family in a comfortable and impressive way, guided by an expert guide. During the drive, the guide takes you past iconic palaces such as Noordeinde Palace and Huis ten Bosch Palace, sharing fascinating stories about the history and daily life of the royal family. You will pass the stately Ridderzaal at the Binnenhof, where the King delivers the Speech from the Throne on Prinsjesdag, and admire the royal grandeur of the Royal Stables and the historic buildings along Lange Voorhout. With a wonderful experience behind us, we continue to the beach, where you will enjoy a delicious BBQ dinner while watching the sunset to conclude the day.
Working with a smaller budget? In the afternoon, choose free time in Scheveningen instead of the guided tour and tasting at Van Kleef, and if necessary, opt for a simpler beach dinner.
