The Delta Works are internationally recognised as one of the greatest engineering projects ever constructed. This fascinating day tour offers an unforgettable insight into Dutch innovation, water management and engineering excellence.
Delta Works tour
Your day begins aboard one of our luxury coaches, travelling through the scenic province of Zeeland towards the world-famous Delta Works.
The highlight of the day is a visit to Deltapark Neeltje Jans, where you'll discover the remarkable story behind the Delta Works. Interactive exhibitions, multimedia presentations and impressive scale models explain how the Dutch transformed a national disaster into one of the world's most admired flood protection systems.
One of the highlights is walking across the Eastern Scheldt Storm Surge Barrier (Oosterscheldekering), an engineering masterpiece stretching almost nine kilometres across the sea. Here you'll experience the immense scale of the project while enjoying spectacular views over the North Sea and the Zeeland coastline.
Around midday, your group will enjoy lunch at a local restaurant overlooking the water. Whether you prefer a traditional Dutch lunch, fresh seafood or an extensive buffet, we are happy to tailor the menu to your group's wishes.
In the afternoon, there is time to further explore Zeeland. The programme can be expanded with a scenic coastal drive, a visit to the historic town of Veere, a harbour walk in Zierikzee or a relaxing boat cruise through the Zeeland Delta.
To complete your experience, we can arrange a group dinner at one of Zeeland's excellent waterfront restaurants before returning comfortably by coach.
